Si bien muchos de los negocios  llegan a ser exitosos y rentables, también existen ciertos desafíos y riesgos, desde leves a muy graves. En cuanto a desafíos, cito los siguientes: barrera idiomática, diferencia cultural, expectativas diferentes en cuanto a calidades y cantidades. Durante mi trayecto en esta actividad he vivido personalmente estos desafíos, sin embargo con mas de 10 años de experiencia en negociación puedo ahora identificar cada uno de ellos, estableciendo una comunicación y negociación adecuada brindando confianza y satisfacción al cliente.

Risks and prevention tools

The risks in international negotiations can vary from receiving low quality products or products different from what was agreed, to falling into scams with fraudulent companies. To mitigate them, tools are available such as supplier search and pre-qualification, factory audits, production and pre-shipment inspections, negotiation in Mandarin Chinese with trilingual contracts, logistics coordination and training in trade with China. These measures seek to ensure transparency, quality and security in transactions.

Audits and inspections

Factory audits allow us to evaluate the reliability of suppliers through two methods: a simple audit (virtual verification of licenses, bank accounts and facilities) and a physical audit (on-site visit to evaluate production capacity, management and risks). Both processes include reports with photos and videos. In addition, inspections during production (raw materials, progress, completion and shipment) ensure that products meet agreed standards before shipment.

Negotiation and logistics

Negotiation in Mandarin Chinese facilitates better conditions and avoids misunderstandings, defining key terms such as prices, deadlines and documentation. Subsequently, logistics is coordinated (EXW, FOB, CIF, etc.), managing transportation, warehousing, cargo consolidation, customs procedures and final delivery. With agents in Chinese industrial cities, costs and times are optimized, ensuring a safe process from the factory to the final destination.
